"I expected my coach to support me, listen to what
obstacles or accomplishments I had achieved and help me set goals for
myself and help attain those goals. she supported me very well. She
has always been willing to be there and available for me. Her strength
is the ability to listen and not pass judgment. The highlights over
the 12 sessions, which we did every other week were being able to share
with Jacqui about accomplishing goals I had set, recieving little
notes of support whether it was via mail or email and knowing that she

What kind of weight loss motivation comes from life coaching?
"Since
I had never been involved in the coaching process, I wasn't sure what to
expect. However, I was hoping to get some results that would change my eating
behavior, by learning to eat smaller portions and not go back for seconds. I
realize that this is my greatest downfall in all of my years of dieting.
This was based on our initial trial
session:
“As for feedback, I liked that you
heard me when I said I felt I understood the concept of coaching and about
nutrition fairly well and you didn't just go ahead and tell me anyway the way a
lot of people feel compelled to do! I also liked that I very much felt
that you let me determine whether to proceed--no pressure, no heavy sales
pitch. And I like that you're quick and intelligent. You
understand active listening. I knew you
were thinking with me as I spoke. I
don't have any negative feedback for you, but I do understand that you will
want to know if and when I do. “

"When I came to coaching I was looking for weight loss motivational tips and a weight loss plan that would work for me, and an exercise and work out plan that I could stick with. My goals were to lose weight and become stronger physically. Jacqui, you did a very good job. Changing important things in life to a way you can "stick with" is hard. The way I have now is easily integrated into my daily life, I do not feel deprived, and the work out is manageable.
We also worked on the "guilt" feeling and emotional eating and set routines to deal with my emotional eating habits. I am very happy because the plan worked. I did lose weight and feel stronger physically. Jacqui, you are a warm and caring person. It's easy to open up to you, and I deeply feel you care as a coach.
