What kind of weight loss motivation comes from life coaching?

"Since I had never been involved in the coaching process, I wasn't sure what to expect. However, I was hoping to get some results that would change my eating behavior, by learning to eat smaller portions and not go back for seconds. I realize that this is my greatest downfall in all of my years of dieting.

 She did an excellent job. She listened to what I had to say and questioned me on how I could stay in control of my portions, so that we came up with new ideas. She summarized at the end of each session and we worked on a plan for the following week.

She was very kind, understanding, and an active listener. Each session she asked how I had made out the previous week with the commitments that I had made, and what I could do the following week to stay in control. She also offered that I could get ideas from a book called "Mindless Eating" as to how to continue with my control over portions, once our coaching sessions have ended.

She led me to believe that I did have the power to control the portions that I ate. Since this was a weekly session, it was constantly on my mind every time I ate, so that I could report my improvements to her in our next session.

I think that she has the right personality to encourage people to do their best. I would recommend her to others interested in the coaching process. I appreciated that she was prompt at calling for our telephone sessions. Her coaching has enabled me to lose 5 pounds in our 2-month session (which was a major breakthrough for me), proving to myself that I can be in control." B.B.

"Working with Jacqui has helped me get to the root of "why" I wasn't reaching my fitness goals.  For so long I was creating a negative self image of myself because I wasn't at the body weight that I thought I should be.  Shifting my focus to being healthy and fit and enjoying that process was a huge turning point for me." "When I came to coaching I was looking for weight loss motivational tips and a weight loss plan that would work for me, and an exercise and work out plan that I could stick with.  My goals were to lose weight and become stronger physically.  Jacqui, you did a very good job.  Changing important things in life to a way you can "stick with" is hard.  The way I have now is easily integrated into my daily life, I do not feel deprived, and the work out is manageable.

We also worked on the "guilt" feeling and emotional eating and set routines to deal with my emotional eating habits.  I am very happy because the plan worked.  I did lose weight and feel stronger physically.  Jacqui, you are a warm and caring person.  It's easy to open up to you, and I deeply feel you care as a coach.  That, connected with your knowledge, was very helpful to me.  Your humor is also greatly appreciated, it makes life a little more fun."  S.B.
